High-Performance Edge Compute

The BK7252N integrates a powerful compute subsystem designed for advanced IoT applications:

  • 32-bit MCU running at speeds up to 160 MHz

  • On-chip 544 KB RAM for smooth and clear image transfer

  • 8-channel General-purpose DMA (GDMA) to unload CPU activity during high-speed data transfers

Unified Connectivity and Wireless Performance

The BK7252N combines Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies into a single integrated solution:

  • Wi-Fi 4 IEEE 802.11b/g/n 1x1 compliant, supporting 20 MHz channels and concurrent STA + SoftAP modes

  • Compliant with Bluetooth LE 5.2, supporting 1 Mbps, 2 Mbps, and Long Range (125/500 kbps)

  • Features an RX sensitivity of -98 dBm and TX power up to +17.5 dBm.

  • Incorporates two on-chip baluns, allowing TX/RX operations with only a single ANT pin

Graphics, Vision, and Multimedia Acceleration

Designed for visual IoT, the BK7252N features a dedicated multimedia pipeline:

  • Integrated JPEG hardware encoder for efficient image compression

  • 120 MHz QSPI interface for driving displays and AMOLED panels

  • 8-bit CIS DVP interface supporting YCbCr 4:2:2 and RGB565 formats

  • Includes a four-band digital hardware equalizer, a 16-bit audio ADC, and a 16-bit mono DAC

Power Management and Edge Performance

The BK7252N is engineered for minimal power consumption and flexible power sourcing:

  • Can be powered via VCCBAT (2.7 to 4.35 V) or VCCUSB (4.3 to 5.5 V)

  • Integrated 200 mA battery charger with programmable 1.5 mA steps

  • Power Modes:

    • Deep Sleep Mode: 16 μA (AON block active)

    • Shutdown Mode: 1 μA

    • Active RX: 42 mA

    • DTIM10: 250 μA (for the BK7252NL series)

Example Applications

  • Smart toys

  • Access control

  • Multimedia devices

Why BK7252N?

The BK7252N eliminates the need for external components by integrating a high-frequency synthesizer, power management LDOs, and specialized hardware encoders. With its 4 MB SiP Flash and high integration, it serves as a single-chip hub for high-fidelity audio and video IoT terminals.
